During the last couple of years, various inventions made by Kissel Ventures family companies, most importantly Nerdherrschaft, have been licensed to third parties internationally. Starting 2020, these licensing services will be bundled into the newly founded Brainnovators Licensing Ltd., offering a portfolio of patents and implementations for IT-related inventions to clients world-wide.
Brainnovators Licensing Ltd.'s sole shareholder and owner is Kissel Ventures GmbH.
At the age of 10, Kissel started programming; at the age of 16, he became part of the international society of computer artists, the demoscene - and is still a part of it today. Kissel locates himself on the autistic spectrum, and as such is widely regarded as a highly logical and analytical person.
While he has done various investments over the years, and as times has directed a team of 50 employees as a CEO, at a certain point he noticed he prefers working with computers far over working with humans. Due to this, he has stepped out of any operative roles of most of his investments, now only serving on controlling boards, and with his team at Nerdherrschaft is focussed on inventing and developing new technologies.
With Viprinet he already had a strong presence in the US and the UK. Today Nerdherrschaft's customers are located world-wide, with a focus on the US, the UK, Israel and Turkey. It therefore made sense to locate his current and future IP portfolio in Ireland, a country well-respected internationally when it comes to IP licensing business.
